The days of summer are screeching to a hault. Labor Day seems to harken a change in the minds of people. It’s time to start working harder, playing less, and preparing for the winter months ahead.
Fortunately, Labor Day and Fashion Week generally coincide. This means we can take a glimpse into the future of beauty, and see what the trends are going to be. This year, Fashion Week had quite a few different looks; however a few things were pretty consistant. Here are my tips for post Labor Day/Post Fashion Week 2009:
1)Translucent foundation. A continuing trend that I focused on for the Jillian Lewis show (and was seen on all other shows, for that matter), was a lack of a “made up” skin. This means unobvious concealer and foundation. Two perfect products to emulate this look (and feel!) is Veludo Velvet Foundation and the Natural Concealer by Christopher Drummond Beauty. Both are free of Titanium dioxide and Zinc oxide, so they are very rich feeling, while at the same time, they are light as air. They will provide a moisturized feeling and look to the skin, yet you will look like you have nothing on. All anyone will see is beautiful, healthy skin. Even if you don’t have it.
2)Glowing Complexion. Saude Pele Radiance Booster by Christopher Drummond Beauty is the best product on the market if you want to give your skin a subtle yet gorgeous glow. The great thing is, you will look like your skin has the glow, not the makeup you have on. This invisible non-cream will give your skin the “oomph” it needs, while infusing the skin with Acai, vitamins, minerals, green tea and soy isoflavones. I use it on every person I apply makeup to, and they ALWAYS look better in just seconds! A must have for Post Labor Day!
3)Gold Eyeshadow. We want to maintain the radiant look that the sun gives us, don’t we? What better way than to apply a beautiful golden eye shadow? Gold looks great on everyone. Period. Whether you use a small amount just to perk up the eyes, or a large amount to really glam up your look, Oro Shadow is for you. It is coupled with good for you ingredients and is non toxic, so you can look radiant and feel good all a the same time. Apply a small amount of Christopher Drummond Beauty Oro with the finger tips to give a beautiful “worn in” look to the color. If you want more intensity, layer the pigments.
